Victim identified in fatal crash on AA Highway
Cold Spring police are looking for the witnesses who stopped then left the scene of a deadly crash on the AA Highway.

COLD SPRING, KY (FOX19) - Cold Spring police say they are looking for the witnesses who left the scene of a deadly crash on the AA Highway Thursday afternoon.

Police say the crash happened around 2:40 p.m. near the intersection of the the AA Highway and Kentucky State Highway 915.

Witnesses told police that traffic had come to a quick stop when a red Honda sedan swerved to the left, into the northbound lanes and oncoming traffic. They believe the driver may have swerved to avoid hitting stopped cars in front of them.

A white Ford coupe hit the right side of the red Honda, police say.

The female driver of the red Honda died at the scene of the crash. She has been identified as Amber Hounshell, 28, of Alexandria. A child was also in the vehicle at the time and was taken to the hospital.

Two adults in the white Ford, Joseph Logston, 21, and William Logston, 21, both from Augusta, Kentucky, were also hospitalized.

Witnesses told police that a gray or silver Honda car stopped at the scene to check on the people inside the vehicles but left before police arrived.

Police are asking those people to contact Officer Smith at 859-441-6289. They say they want to find out what they saw.
