SPRING GROVE VILLAGE, OH (FOX19) - A deadly shooting is under investigation in Spring Grove Village.
Raymond Heard, 58, was pronounced dead at the scene of the shooting in the 4700 block of Gray Road about 10:15 p.m. Wednesday night, Cincinnati police said. It’s also not clear what led up to the shooting.
His stepmother said she knew something was wrong when he didn’t show up for Thanksgiving dinner.
“He was a loving person. He was special in his own way,” said Beverly Heard. “But anything you would ask him to do for you -- he would do it. He would bring my groceries up if he saw me struggling getting out the car. He would bring my groceries up.”
No arrests have been made, and suspect information was not available.
“I don’t understand why somebody would want to hurt Raymond. I really don’t,” said Beverly Heard. “I have never known him to take anything from any stranger. It had to be somebody who was just doing something -- I don’t know.”
She said she wants the person to turn themselves in because it would be the right thing to do.
“Well, please, if you hurt Raymond, please let us know why,” she said. “What was the reason?”
Police are asking for the public’s help. If you have any information about what happened to Raymond Heard, you are asked to call CRIMESTOPPERS. FOX19 NOW will continue to update this story once more information is released.
