CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -A WINTER STORM WARNING remains in effect for the following counties--- In Indiana: Union, Franklin, Ripley, Dearborn, Switzerland and Ohio. In Ohio: Butler, Warren, Clinton, Hamilton, Clermont, Brown, Highland and Adams.
In Kentucky: Kenton and Campbell until 7 AM tomorrow morning. 2-4 inches of heavy snow is expected with locally higher amounts possible.
A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY has been issued for parts of northern Kentucky. Gallatin, Owen, Grant, Pendelton, Bracken, Robertson and Mason counties are expected to have slightly warmer afternoon temperatures.
This could lead to a rain/snow, but overall, we could still see 2-4 inches fall by tomorrow morning.
Any rain this afternoon could cause a bit of ice to form this evening into tomorrow morning.
An area of low pressure continues to bring periods of rain and snow into the region this afternoon.
Some snow totals as of mid-afternoon include: Conneresville: 4″, W. College Corner: 4″, Hamilton: 2.8″, Wilmington: 1.8″, Sharonville: 2.3″, CVG: 2.4″, S. Union: 2.5″, Lebanon: 2.5″, Delhi Twp: 2.5″, Maineville: 2.2″, Hillsboro: 1.5″, AMelia: 2″, Georgetown: 1.5″, West Union: 1″.
Sunday, rain and snow will continue into the morning and taper off by the afternoon. Some light freezing rain or freezing drizzle will be possible as well as temperatures rise into the mid 30s.
Dry air will move into the region for most of the upcoming work week.
Temperatures will climb back up near the upper 30s.
The next chance for wet weather will be Thursday night.
