CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The Cincinnati Police Traffic Unit is investigating a crash where one person died in Bond Hill.

The crash happened around 2:00 a.m. in the 5200 block of Reading Road on Saturday.

D’Angelo Plair, 29, was driving north on Reading Road when he rear-ended the car of Bryce Degaro, 20, said police. Plair then lost control of his vehicle, veered to the right, ran off the roadway and struck a tree, according to police.

Plair and three of his passengers, Jermane Sanders, 24, Quenten Brogden, 25 and Meeasia Kyles, 21 were all transported to University Hospital.

Police say that all sustained non-life threatening injuries and are in good condition.

A fifth passenger, Mary Ellen Harris, 36 had critical injuries as a result of the crash and later died at University Hospital, according to police.

Police say Degaro was wearing his seatbelt and was not injured in the crash, but none of the passengers in Plair’s car were buckled up.

Excessive speed and impairment seem to have been a factor in the crash, according to police.

Anyone with information on the crash should contact the Cincinnati Police Traffic Unit at 513-352-2514.
