CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The official two-day storm total at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport was 8.7 inches, according to the National Weather Service.
On Saturday, 2.8 inches of snow fell. The record high for January 12 was hit in 1964 with 5.2 inches.
Sunday broke the record for the most snow that has ever fallen on January 13th in the Tri-State area.
The previous record daily total was 4.8 inches in 1939.
This Sunday, 5.9 inches fell.
The last time the Tri-State has seen this much snow was February 15-21, 2015.
Three big accumulations during that time period were 6.3 inches, 4.5 inches, and 5.9 inches.
The greatest amount of snow on the ground at one time was 10 inches on February 21, 2015.
