CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Saturday, Sunday, and Monday are First Alert Weather Days.
On Saturday morning another wet-to-icy mix arrives with areas from Connersville through Oxford and Middletown to Wilmington getting snow. During the evening cold air arrives and temperatures drop changing the rain to snow.
During the changeover there will be two to three hours of freezing rain and sleet and driving could become quite hazardous. Snow totals are likely to be heaviest in the northern counties with 3 inches to (in spots) 6 inches falling. Metro Cincinnati should see from 2 inches in the south to 4 inches north of the city. The big problem is likely to be reduced visibility from blowing and drifting snow as winds gust to around 45 mph from before dawn Sunday into Sunday afternoon.
By Sunday evening wind chills will be below zero and for Monday morning look for wind chills as cold as -20 degrees in open areas and actual temps as cold a -5 degrees.
