OVER-THE-RHINE, OH (FOX19) - Three suspects are on the run in a double shooting that left one man with life-threatening injuries in Over-the-Rhine overnight, Cincinnati police said.

Officers responded to multiple calls of shots fired in the 1400 block of Walnut Street at 12:35 a.m. Thursday, according to the night chief Captain David Fink.

They found one of the victims, 22, down in the middle of the street on 14th Street near Walnut Street. He was shot in the chest, hip and foot, Fink said. A gun and multiple shell casings were found nearby on 14th Street.

The victim was taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center in critical condition with life-threatening injuries. He went into surgery at last check, according to Fink.

The second shooting victim, 19, was taken to Christ Hospital by a private vehicle. He was shot in the knee and is expected to recover, police said.

The shooting remains under investigation by District 1 police.
