Lighting up the Tri-State for slain detective

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - An effort is underway to light up the Tri-State with blue lights to support fallen Clermont County Sheriff’s Detective Bill Brewer.

“We saw a community that is heartbroken and as we watched and as we saw, we knew we needed to do something. And, we weren’t sure what it was,” Jenny Allred said.

Allred leads a team of three agents at Coldwell Banker West Shell and her team is making deliveries across the Tri-State. On Thursday, they delivered 65 bags containing blue light bulbs and a note of support for the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office to light the city up blue.

“This is such an opportunity to bring our community together to really bound together and show support for people that risk their lives every day for us,” Allred said. “We did buy out Amazon with this light bulb. Hopefully they can get some more and we’ll kind of see where things go.”

The group has more than 300 bulbs ready for delivery and are hoping to add more, once they’re restocked. The idea started on the groups Facebook page and has taken off on social media so Allred has decided to host a pickup for anyone else wishing to receive a blue bulb at the groups Anderson Township location (7917 Beechmont Ave.) on Saturday at 2 p.m.
