Sharonville teen hit in apparent accidental shooting

SHARONVILLE, OH (FOX19) - A 13-year-old was shot in an apparent accidental shooting Friday night in Sharonville.

According to Hamilton County dispatch, someone called and reported that a 13-year-old was shot at about 8:30 p.m.

The teen was reportedly hit in the chest.

Officers provided aid on scene before transporting the victim to Children’s Hospital, according to a press release.

He is in critical but stable condition.

“He is off the ventilator. The bullet missed all his vitals and main arteries and he is expected to be in the hospital for a short time and should make a full recovery,” Sgt. Derek Broenner with the Sharonville Police Department said in an email.

Witnesses were identified and the Sharonville Police Department is investigating.
