Families at Freshman School and Compass Elementary are also being kept in the loop while police investigate because of their close proximity to the high school, the district says.

They say they’re working to make sure everyone who didn’t receive a message already hears from the school.

Fairfield police say they’re working to find out who is responsible for the threat and if it is credible.
