COVINGTON, KY. (FOX19) - A motorist fleeing police crashed into a Covington home early Wednesday, displacing a family of four, police said.

Officers responded to the 300 block of East 21st Street about 1:45 a.m.

“Both of my daughters were laying on the couch asleep. I got a phone call, I rushed home to make sure everything was OK," said the homeowner, William Raschke. “I sort of just panicked in the rush home.

"I’m still in shock, whoever this person hit my house with this much force.”

The driver was taken to a local hospital, treated and released into police custody.

William Ramsey was arrested on several charges: fleeing and evading, wanton endangerment, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, possession of marijuana and operating on a suspended or revoked license and reckless driving, jail records show.

He is held in lieu of $1,000 bond at the Kenton County Jail.

It’s not clear when he will go to court.
