CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - City Council has passed the rezoning necessary for construction of the new FC Cincinnati stadium to continue in the West End, according to our partners at the Cincinnati Enquirer.

The vote comes after the club reached an agreement with the Cincinnati Ballet to address problems related to parking, access, noise and operations at the ballet center, which is near the site of the future stadium.

City Council also voted to give $75,000 to help keep a West End restaurant owner in business, which proved to be a heated debate Thursday.

The stadium is expected to be finished in 2021.
