CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Clearcreek Township Police are investigating the death of a 2-month-old baby.
Police say the CT scan they received on the child was “suspicious”.
Police said they responded to a 911 call of a 2-month-old male that was not breathing. Upon arriving, officials began to care for the child and immediately transported to the Atrium Medical Center.
Police would not elaborate any further on any injuries to the child.
Meanwhile, a Warren County family tells us the child who died is 2-month-old Cayden Colwell. His aunt confirms he died Sunday afternoon at Cincinnati Children’s.
They claim he suffered from shaken baby syndrome, but police have not confirmed that information.
Cayden’s aunt tells us the incident allegedly happened on Thursday. He was taken to Atrium Medical Center, then to Cincinnati Children’s.
Cayden was taken off of life support on Sunday night at Cincinnati Children’s.
The Clearcreek Township Police Department is conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the child’s death.
The family has set up a Go Fund Me page to help the child’s mother.
We are in touch with investigators in this case. The boy’s aunt told us on Monday that they’ve been advised not to discuss the case.
