Watch for patchy fog once again this morning.
Maria is once again a CAT 3 storm with 115 mph winds. She is located near the eastern Dominican Republic. Satellite images indicate the eye is better organized and that may indicate more intensification over the next 2 days over the warm waters near the Bahamas. At this point landfall in the US is not likely but as the remnants of Maria and José draw closer together, beach erosion, rip currents and rain and wind squalls could lash the coast.
For us high pressure remains in control with sunny to partly cloudy skies, warm temps and a somewhat humid atmosphere. Highs for the extended remain in the mid to upper 80s with morning lows in the mid 60s.
Summer Ends at 4:02 PM EDT Friday and your first weekend of autumn will feel more like summer.
