An update to a “Consider This” from last year.

If you had to name five people who had a positive impact on your life, the odds are that at least one of them is a teacher.

Ohio has been the center of attention this week with Cleveland hosting the Republican National Convention. 

Turn on a TV or radio--open a newspaper...look at your mobile phone...and you can't help but know that it is a Presidential Election Year. 

Once again, Cincinnati is making national news.  And, once again, it's a tragic story.

Let us honor our service members by renewing our efforts to live together as ONE nation, under God.

We received a lot of feedback on our editorials this last week. 

It seems like every day now we hear about a school on lockdown because of some type of threat. In fact, law enforcement in Lebanon and Warren County responded to a school threat every single day last week. 

Our government reminds us to report suspicious activity, because it takes everyone, working together, to keep us safe. So we have to wonder if charging a 911 caller with possible criminal charges is really the right thing to do. 

A heroin task force is warning parents to search for needles before letting kids hunt for Easter eggs.

Some local taxpayers made a BIG statement this week. 

You hear it and see it often.   The ringing of the bell, barrels at the front of the grocery store and trucks filled with unwrapped toys, or coats and gloves.  But do you ever stop to think what they really mean?
