Police look for 'I-71 Corridor Bank Robber'

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Police in Louisville and Cincinnati are looking for a serial bank robber dubbed the "I-71 Corridor Bank Robber."

The suspect is believed to have committed five bank robberies in the Cincinnati and Louisville areas.

• 25 September 2008: Chase Bank, 9600 Linn Station Rd., Louisville, Kentucky
• 17 October 2008: Huntington Bank, 734 Ohio Pike, Cincinnati, Ohio
• 05 December 2008: Chase Bank, 8632 Beechmont Ave., Cincinnati, Ohio 
• 13 February 2009: Chase Bank, 9600 Linn Station Rd., Louisville, Kentucky
• 31 July 2009: PNC Bank, 3023 Dixie Hwy., Edgewood, Kentucky

Police say the suspect enters the banks wearing a hood or hat and sunglasses. He then calmly approaches the teller counter carrying a bag. In his first robbery, he displayed a handgun while it was still tucked into his waistband and demanded the bank cash from a single teller.  In the next two robberies, he indicated he had a handgun in his pocket and demanded the money from all of the tellers.  In the final two robberies, he has pulled the handgun out and brandished it, becoming very loud and aggressive with the tellers in one of them.  It is apparent his level of confidence and aggression is escalating on each robbery.

The suspect is a white male described as being approximately 40 to 50 years of age, between 5-foot-10 and 6-foot-4, and close to 200 lbs. In each robbery, he has had short cut, reddish brown hair above the ears and a reddish brown full mustache which stops at the corners of his mouth.

Investigators believe that since all of his robberies are in the Louisville and Cincinnati area that he is from Kentucky, Ohio, or Indiana.  It is also believed this suspect will continue to commit bank robberies until captured.
