MIDDLETOWN, OH (FOX19) - Middletown Police observed a stolen car on Tuesday, and found the driver was actually wanted for a store robbery.
Just before 7 p.m., officers observed a black Oldsmobile that had been reported stolen traveling westbound in the 1700 block of Colombia Ave.
Officers tried to stop the vehicle, but the driver fled, and crashed the car into a chain link fence on Plum St. The driver ran away on foot, but was apprehended a short time later.
The driver, Josh Perry, 21, of Middletown, was also found to be a suspect in the robbery of Central Pastry on Sept. 26.
Perry was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery, felony receiving stolen property, fleeing and eluding, reckless operation and failure to control.
