BOONE COUNTY, KY (FOX19) - The Northern Kentucky Health Department has confirmed death associated with the H1N1 virus.

Officials say a Boone County male in his 20's has died from the virus. He did not have any underlying conditions prior to his death.

More information is now available regarding the upcoming H1N1 vaccines clinics.

The first clinic will be held at the Bank of Kentucky Center at 500 Nunn Drive from 10:00am to 5:00pm on Wednesday November 11.

Parking will not be available to the Bank of Kentucky, so those attending the clinic will park off-site and be bussed to the arena.

The off-site parking locations are:

  • Furniture Fair, 3710 Alexandria Pike, Cold Springs
  • First Baptist Church of Cold Spring, 4410 Alexandria Pike, Cold Spring
  • Meijer, 5400 Alexandria Pike, Cold Spring

The clinic will be available for those who fall into the category of high risk groups for complications of the swine flu, but will target college students under 24 years of age, pregnant women and health care workers. There plan to offer at least 8,000 doses on a first cone- first serve basis.

Vaccination planned for November 14 and 21 at local schools will be more suited for children and families because of the wait time.

The location for the November 14 clinic will be at Walton- Verona Middle/ High School in Walton.

The November 21 clinic will be held at the Summit View Middle School in Independence.
