Cincinnati, OH

Volunteers from just about every age and background stood and some sat, side by side, filling 78 boxes to be shipped to Iraq for the CommCo Reserve unit, 4th Battalion Marine Division. The local service men and women were deployed in June and Saturday a community gathered to make sure they knew they were missed and loved. Diane Foust's son is one of the marines in that unit.  " What is does for each marine it tells them that their family and friends care and that home hasn't forgotten them.

It's a little bit of home in the form of shampoo, chapstick and chips, hand sorted from folks right here in the tristate packed with love but especially prayers. John Guinn founded the non-profit organization that coordinated Saturday's event.  "I'm an army vet myself 3 generations of army folks, to see them help our troops, I can't even put it into words."

Students from Cincinnati Hills Christian helped out, as well volunteers from General Dynamics.
