ANDERSON TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Two people have died after a crash in Anderson Township.
It happened just after 11 p.m. Wednesday night in the 8600 block of SR 32.
Police say a Ford Contour operated by Jeffrey Meece, 30, of Cincinnati, was traveling westbound on SR 32 when he struck a concrete island and ran off the right side of the road. The vehicle rolled, struck a utility pole and landed on its top.
Both Meece and his passenger, Debra Simonds, 51, of Fenton, Mich., were ejected from the car and pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say alcohol and drugs are not believed to be factors in the crash, but speed is. Neither occupant was wearing a seatbelt.
The crash remains under investigation.
