CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - A website has named Cincinnati as the nation's 'Craziest City.'
thedailybeast.com ranked the nation's 57 largest city on four criteria: Psychiatrists per capita (how many there are to fill the therapy demand per person, with data from the Census and Citysearch.com); stress (emotional and mental health, based on by Gallup-Healthways); eccentricity (how crazy and wacky a city is, with help from travel writer Mike Barish); and drinking (whether the metropolitan area's residents are heavy drinking - defined as two drinks a day or more for men, and one drink a day or more for women, based on data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System 2008).
Based on this criteria, Cincinnati ranked as the Craziest City, as the Queen City ranked 31st out of 57 for psychiatrists per capita; 5th for stress; 12th for eccentricity and 17th (tie) for drinking.
San Francisco, Providence, Milwaukee and Las Vegas rounded out the Top 5.
