CINCINNATI (FOX19) -   Super Heroes are on their way. Cincinnati Comic Expo will zoom into the Xavier University Cintas Center on Saturday, September 18th from 10 am until 5 pm. There will be several guests at this event including Michael Uslan, the executive producer for all of the Batman movies, from Tim Burton's Batman (1989) to Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight (2008), Murphy Anderson, legendary DC Comics Silver Age artist and Cynthiana, Kentucky's Tony Moore, artist of the acclaimed series and AMC show The Walking Dead.

Michael Uslan will be giving the keynote address at the convention. Besides being the executive producer of the Batman movie franchise, he is also a comic book historian and was the first instructor to teach "Comic Book Folklore" at Indiana University. He also wrote the comic book story of Archie proposing to Veronica.

There will be a costume contest and free giveaways to the first 600 attending receiving either a poster by Allen Bellman of The Invaders (Captain America, Submariner and the Human Torch) battling around the Robebling Suspension Bridge  or a poster by Dave Aikins of the Super Friends (Superman, Batman, Robin, Wonder Woman and Aquaman) over our version of the Hall of Justice, Union Terminal.

There hasn't been a comic book convention like this in this area since 1999. "The Midwest region, especially Cincinnati, is filled with talent. There are also many well-established comic book stores that have long served the loyal fan base. Cincinnati deserves a platform to showcase the region's talent and to give fans a show they can look forward to every year in their own backyard. Most major cities have a pop culture show of some sort. It's finally time for Cincinnati to have a show of its own," according to Cincinnati Comic Expo Director Andrew Satterfield.

Admission is $7.00 for Adults, $5.00 for students with I. D. and children under 10 are free. For a complete list of guest or for more information visit their website at www.cincinnaticomicexpo.com.
