FOX19 names Ben Swann as new co-anchor

Ben Swann is the newest addition to the FOX19 News team.  Ben will co-anchor the 6:00p and 10:00p newscasts with Tricia as well as spearhead our efforts to develop more signature content.

He comes to us from KTSM-TV, the NBC affiliate in El Paso, Texas, where he has anchored the evening news for the last three years.

With both an Edward R. Murrow Award and two Emmy's on his mantel, Ben has proven himself both on the desk and in the field.  He has specialized in covering Mexico's drug wars on the Texas border and delivered some hard-hitting investigative pieces during his career in the Lonestar state.

Prior to KTSM, Ben worked at KFOX in El Paso as an Anchor, Reporter and Managing Editor – he's even logged time as a photographer.

Ben is a graduate of Brigham Young University with a Masters in Humanities from California State University.  His wife and five children will join him in Cincinnati in mid December.

The plan is for Ben's first day on the air to be Monday, December 13.
