
FOX entertainment reporter/film critic Steve Oldfield covers Hollywood for FOX19 and other Fox stations across the country. Steve is a Northern Kentucky native and a graduate of the Covington Latin School and Northwestern University, where he founded Northwestern Student Television. One of Steve’s first internships was working with Jerry Springer at WLWT-TV, typing his “final thoughts” into the teleprompter. Steve has worked in Denver, Miami, Orlando, St. Louis, Richmond and Detroit.
Steve hits the road 45 weeks a year, covering premieres and film festivals, interviewing the stars in Hollywood, New York and other locations around the world.
Steve is a member of the Broadcast Film Critics Association and a fellow of the Poynter Institute. When not watching more than 150 movies a year, Steve is an avid rock climber and rugby fan.
Oldfield teaches in the Electronic Media Division at the University of Cincinnati. He also is a competitive tennis player and coaches junior players during the summer season.
