Cincinnati, OH (Fox 19) Three games after being suspended the status of UC's Yancy Gates seems to have gone from bad to worse. He played one minute in the second half of a home loss to St John's and was booed by fans at Fifth Third Arena when he approached the scorer's table to check in late in the game.
Head coach Mick Cronin suspended Gates before a loss to Pittsburgh on February 5th and he hasn't started in the two games since. Gates is the team's leading rebounder and second leading scorer.
The Bearcats have six Big East games left on the regular season schedule and have lost three of their last four games.
