HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) - The hamilton doctor charged with drug trafficking and sexual misconduct with a minor was back in court Thursday to set a date for his trial.
But now the earliest that will happen is next week.
Earlier this week, Mark Blankenburg's defense attorney filed a petition with the U.S. Supreme Court to lower his bond, so the judge granted a continuance until next Friday.
Blankenburg faces several charges, including one count of corruption of a minor, two counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, two counts of corrupting another with drugs, 17 counts of trafficking in drugs and four counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs.
Prosecutor Robin Piper says the state is also investigating other allegations against the doctor.
