The corner of Hamilton and North Bend is slated to get a face lift. College is getting an extreme makeover, thanks to the 2 year plan by the College Hill Community Redevelpment Corp.and Al Neyer Inc. the local developer.
A mix of retail, restaurants, offices and condos are expected to spring up beginning next year, and is designed to be pedestrian friendly. Instead of competing with local businesses, entrepreneurs and residents feel it can only enhance, just ask Tim O'Keefe owner of Bacall's Cafe, a staple in this part of town for 23 years. "That would probably do nothing but help promote College Hill and bring more business for myself it would introduce Bacall's to more people."
Neyer Development has to first buy the property and land in the area before any ground can be broken, and that can take some time.
