Some patchy fog this morning otherwise dry and a tad warmer with lows in the low to mid 40's. However, I can't rule out a few upper 30's. Expect plenty of sunshine with a high of 72 degrees this afternoon.
Our next chance of rain arrives Monday morning ahead of a strong cold front.
It is the time of year that cold air starts to invade the Tri State and next week will be a good example of mid-autumn cold air outbreaks. So ... after four days, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, in the 70s the weather will begin to cool Monday. Very chilly air is on the way and next weekend the 28th and 29th is our first chance of sub-freezing morning temperatures.
The first shot of chilly air arrives slowly, suppressing high temperatures into the mid and upper fifties Tuesday and Wednesday. A colder air mass arrives Friday Night/Saturday the 27th/28th and right now it looks like high temperatures in many locations may be in the forties Friday. The first chance of sub-freezing morning temperatures should be Saturday or Sunday October 28th/29th. So the growing season officially could be coming to a end by next week.
