MONROE TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - One man has been arrested after a local gun shop was robbed at gunpoint.

The Old 74 Gun Shop on Ohio Pike was robbed at gunpoint just before noon on Tuesday. The owner told police that two male subjects dressed in dark clothing and wearing ski masks entered the shop. One of them displayed a hand gun and ordered the owner to the ground.

The second suspect then began removing rifles from the display stands behind the counter and loaded them into a large black bag.

The suspects left the store with several assault rifles and a shotgun. No money was taken and no one was injured. The suspects wore ski masks and dark clothing and were described as tall and thin.

A perimeter was established and a Deputy responded to the scene with his bloodhound.  The bloodhound picked up a track and located a large black bag  just southeast of the business which contained  4 assault rifles. The bloodhound continued his track and a fifth assault rifle was located. The bloodhound continued and a black ski mask, 2 pair of nylon gloves were located. The bloodhound continued to the area of Bantam Rd and SR 125 where the track ended.

All of the recovered guns were taken back to the Old 74 Gun Shop and were positively identified by the owner as those stolen during the robbery. All property that was reported stolen was recovered.

A male subject, matching the physical description of one of the two male subjects who fled from the gun shop, was located on foot southeast of the gun shop. The male was approached by deputies and communicated false information to them. He was eventually identified as Christopher Lake, 23, of Cincinnati.

The Clermont Co. Prosecutor's Office was consulted and recommended that Lake be charged with one count of Obstructing Official Business.  His bond was set at $10,000.

The case will be presented to the Clermont County Grand Jury within the next week and additional charges are possible.

The investigation is continuing in an attempt to identify and apprehend the other perpetrator of the robbery.  Anyone with any information concerning his involvement or identity is requested to call the Clermont County Sheriff's Office Investigative Unit, 732-7545.
