Man sentenced to 12 years after crime spree

WARREN COUNTY, OH (FOX19)--  A Batavia man will serve 12 years in prison after he committed numerous crimes across Warren County.

41-year-old Albert Lakes was convicted in January on five felonies. He burglarized a home in Harlan Township and led  the Warren County Sheriffs on a high speed chase across the county in a stolen car. The chase send police through yards and farm fields.

Lakes is also facing charges in Clermont and Highand counties.

"This is a serial burglar and a dangerous man, " Warren County Prosecutor Rachel Hutzel said. "His actions endangered the lives of families of the road and in their homes as well as the lives of out officers, " Hutzel adds.
