8 displaced after Kennedy Heights fire

KENNEDY HEIGHTS, OH (FOX19) - Four adults and four children have been displaced after a fire in Kennedy Heights.

It happened just before 6 a.m. in the 6100 block of Coleridge Ave.

Initial arriving fire units arrived on the scene discovering heavy fire showing from the second floor rear, as well as the entire attic area of a two-story with an attic private dwelling.

An aggressive interior fire attack was conducted on the second floor including the attic space. Primary and Secondary searches of the structure revealed no occupants trapped. The structure has extensive damage to the roof area.

Damage is estimated at $75,000. The Cincinnati Fire Investigation Unit is investigating origin and cause. The cause is currently listed as "Undetermined". There were no reports of injuries to fire personnel or civilians. Smoke alarms were present but it is unknown if they were operational.
