Batesville double shooting

BATESVILLE, IN (FOX19)-- The Batesville Police are investigating a double shooting that happened at a convenient store Saturday afternoon.

A short time before 4:00pm, police received a 911 call reporting a shooting at the Marathon Food Mart on State Route 46. When they arrived they found 56-year-old Philip Cruser and 26-year-old Benjamin Dick with gunshot wounds. The victims were taken to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. There is no word on their conditions.

Almost 15 minutes later the suspected shooter was located at his home and taken into custody. he has been identified as 32-year-old Jimmy Ferbach. He is currently being held at the Ripley County Jail with criminal charges pending.

The incident is still under investigation.
