A freeze warning has been issued for the entire Tri-State beginning at 11 p.m. Tuesday until 10 a.m. Wednesday.
The National Weather Service says temperatures are expected to drop into the upper 20's Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning, resulting in a widespread freeze across the Ohio Valley.
Those with agricultural interests in the warned area are advised to protect tender vegetation. Also, potted plants normally left outdoors should be covered or brought inside away from the cold.
A freeze warning means temperatures at or below 32 degrees Fahrenheit are imminent or highly likely in and close to the watch or warned area.
