Mayor: 640 jobs available for youth this summer

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Mayor Mark Mallory says 640 city jobs will be available at the Fourth Annual Mayor's Youth Job Fair.

The jobs are part of the City's Summer Youth Employment Initiative that the Mayor and City Council have included in the last three city budgets.

The initiative employs youth ages 16 to 24 in six different programs through the Cincinnati Parks Department, the Cincinnati Recreation Commission, ArtWorks, and the Cincinnati Hamilton County Community Action Agency.

The agencies will begin accepting applications for those jobs at the Mayor's Youth Job Fair on Thursday, April 23 at the Duke Energy Convention Center from 2 to 6 p.m.

"Young people in Cincinnati want to work.  City jobs are an excellent opportunity to not only earn money, but more importantly learn valuable skills that will help them in their future careers," Mayor Mallory said.
