UPDATE: Body found in Ohio River identified


UPDATE: Police have released the identity of a man whose body was found in the Ohio River last week.

Ronald Halker, 61, of Cheviot was found Friday afternoon. Police say he had been missing since mid-March.

His cause of death is still pending.


Dearborn County Coroners need help trying to identify a body that was found in the Ohio River Friday afternoon.

Officials say the body was found at 3:30pm  at the intersection of Laughery Creek and the Ohio River near Ohio County.

Police say the body appears to be an unidentified male  who may be between 40 and 60 years old. he was between 5 feet and 8 inches to 6 feet tall.  He has brown, medium length hair and a mustache. He was wearing Blue jeans, leather work boots, a dark blue T-shirt and a dark blue zip up Carhardt hoodie.

Ohio County sheriffs and the Dearborn County coroners are investigating the incident.
