DECATUR COUNTY, IN (FOX19) - Two South Decatur High School students have been expelled and arrested after a locker room incident in April.

Josh England, 18, and Wyatt Friedersdorf, 19, are charged with battery after engaging in rude and harassing conduct during gym class. The two are seniors and will also miss their graduation.

According to court documents, an Indiana State Police officer conducted an investigation into the complaint made to the principal of South Decatur High School. The officer interviewed students in the class, and learned that the gym class was comprised of mostly senior and freshman students. The locker room is generally unsupervised at the end of the class.

The court papers state that England and Friedersdorf took their clothes off and wrestled a 14-year-old to the ground and touched his buttocks while they were supposed to be changing their clothes. Students say that the two usually have a habit of turning the lights off and wrestling with the other students during in the locker room.

The incident was reported by the parent of another student who was concerned about the inappropriate behavior.

The superintendent would not comment about the series of events, but released a statement: "The students are no longer in attendance at South Decatur High School. The school has proceeded as outlined by law on what we are able to do. Anything beyond that is up to the Decatur County Prosecutor."
