LAWRENCEBURG, IN (FOX19) - Dearborn County wants its residents to spend their money locally.

In efforts to jump start the cause, the Dearborn County Chamber of Commerce created

The site offers information, directions, and coupons for over 100 businesses within the county.  Beth Legge, a manager at McCabes Greenhouse and Floral says it's a great service.

"We've always been a big fan of buying local and supporting other local businesses since we are also a local business. We think the buy Dearborn is just another great way of other businesses to network and increase the local economy," says Legge.

Almost anything you need, you can find in Dearborn County. Salon services to electrical needs; childcare to art classes, the site has it all and continues to grow with more businesses joining in.

"We have wonderful businesses that you don't even have to travel to Ohio or Kentucky to purchase here," says Amanda Ewbank of the Chamber of Commerce.

There are links to all the businesses for websites and phone numbers of all participating retailers. The Framery in Lawrenceburg even has coupons for ten percent off all summer art classes.

"I think it's good to keep the money in Dearborn County, we're not any more expensive than anybody else," says Mary Helen Crook.

The summer art classes are for everyone.  There are many types of classes for two year olds all the way to seniors.
