Kentucky man arrested in stabbing

FLORENCE, KY (FOX19)-- Police have arrested an man after he stabbed someone during an argument.

On Saturday, Florence police were called to a home on Honeysuckle Drive for a report of a stabbing in the area. when officers arrived, they found 35-year-old David Byers in the front yard with stab wounds to the upper body. Byers was transported to St. Elizabeth's Hospital where he is being treated with non life-threatening injuries.

The suspect, 65-year-old Fritz Kimbrew Jr. was also outside with the victim. It was reported that the two were arguing about an incident that happened the night before. During the argument Kimbrew grabbed a kitchen steak knife and stabbed Byer.

Police have arrested Kimbrew and charged him with Assault and Domestic Violence. He is being held at the Boone County Detention Center on a $100,000 dollar bond.
