Kenton Co. deputy released from hospital

COVINGTON, KY (FOX19) - A Kenton County Sheriff's Deputy who was injured last week when he was run over by a truck is out of the hospital.

Deputy Bret Lovell was released from  University Hospital and is recovering at home.

Deputy Lovell was conducting an investigation outside his cruiser when he was struck by a vehicle driven by Jeffrey Beatsch.

Beatsch has been charged with assault on a police officer, resisting arrest and menacing. Barbara Flack, 49, is charged with tampering with evidence. Both are being held at the Kenton County Jail.
