MASON, OH (FOX19)-- The bomb squad was called out after a citizen turned over an old grenade to a police officer Wednesday afternoon.
Around 3:00pm, a citizen turned over what appeared to be an old grenade. That officer took it to the Mason fire department on Mason Montgomery Road.
A short time later, the Bomb squad was called to the scene. They x-rayed the device and determined that it was not active and safe to remove.
