COVINGTON, KY (FOX19) - Someone has missed out on a big prize after a $200,000 Powerball was not claimed.

Thursday was the deadline for the winner of a November Powerball prize to be claimed. Kentucky Lottery officials say winning tickets must be claimed 180 days from the drawing. As the deadline came and went at 5 p.m. on Thursday, no one came to claim their winnings.

The money will now go into a reserve fund to cover up any potential shortfalls to the Kentucky Educational Excellence Scholarship Program. The maximum annual KEES award is $2,500 dollars, so the money could provide more that 80 grants to Kentucky's students.

The winning ticket was sold at Oldtown Shell in Covington in November of last year. That store has sold two other big prize winning tickets in the past.
