LOCKLAND, OH (FOX19) - Charges have still not been filed after the raid of a Lockland pawn shop that turned up an alligator, stolen property and homemade explosives.

In fact, some charges may not be filed, because it's not illegal to have an alligator as a pet.

The 3.5-foot American alligator that police found Wednesday is still at the Hamilton County SPCA offices. SPCA agents plan on returning the alligator to its owner, David Hartman.

Hartman is the man who runs Just Stuff consignment and leases out the property.

SPCA officers say the alligator is in good health, and didn't have any signs of abuse.

Meanwhile, police in Lockland and Blue Ash are still sorting through the stolen property and homemade explosives they say they found at store.

Hartman has not been charged in any of that, and neither has anyone else.

Police say it may be next week before charges are filed.
