BOONE COUNTY, KY (FOX19) - A Cincinnati man is charged in the death of his wife after police say he ran over her with his car.

Paul Walz, 41, is charged with 2nd degree manslaughter, DUI, and Violation of a Protection Order.

According to police, Paul and his wife, Carisa Walz, 30, were traveling east on KY-20 and just passed through the intersection with KY-212. Carisa opened the door of the car, and leaned out to vomit when she fell out and was run over.

Her husband then put her back in the car and continued to drive down to River Road, then back up to I-275 into Indiana and then Ohio. He then called 911 to report that Carisa was unresponsive.

Emergency crews transported her to the hospital where she was pronounced dead. Hamilton County authorities alerted Boone County Sheriffs and Walz was taken into custody.

He was arraigned on Monday and his bond was set at $250,000.

Police say Walz claimed a man stopped at the accident site and asked if they needed assistance. Police would like to speak with this person to find out what they saw or heard.
