Woman indicted on sex, drug charges

FRANKLIN, OH (FOX19) - A 33-year-old Franklin woman is accused of having sex with a boy under the age of 16 and giving him and his buddies drugs and alcohol.

Prosecutors say it all happened between June and August of 2007 at a home on Beatrice drive in Franklin. It's a situation law enforcement officials say is disturbing and gross.

A Warren County grand jury indicted Theresa Ritchie on 12 counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a child.

"Theresa Ritchie in the summer of 2007, when she was 31 years old, was working in a drive-thru where she is alleged to have met some 14 year old boys," said Warren County prosecutor Rachel Hutzel. "She hired them to do work on her home. She hired them for things like mowing. She is alleged to have paid them with marijuana and is alleged to have sex with one on those 14 year old boys."

The Warren County Sheriff's Office investigated the allegations, then arrested the Franklin woman.

"This young man reported it to an adult at his school," said Hutzel.

According to court paperwork, Ritchie "had sexual contact with the juvenile on numerous occasions."

The indictment also states Ritchie provided alcohol and drugs to the minors.

Ritchie worked at both the Ameristop and Village Drive Thru. The manager of the drive thru told FOX19 that he fired Ritchie a year ago after she was caught stealing and befriending these young victims.

Officers booked Ritchie into the Warren County Jail on Friday, but the story may not end there.

"I believe that she bonded out because she just gave birth to a child," said Hutzel. "I don't know who the father of that child is but I'm hoping that its an adult."

Ritchie will be arraigned on June 10.
