LAWRENCEBURG, IN (FOX19) - A local car dealer is on the run from the law, charged with a number of felonies regarding his dealership.

Doug's Cars in Lawrenceburg is the target. After months of an undercover investigation, the Dearborn County Special Crimes Unit is charging the owners with seven felonies..

Among other charges, Doug's Cars is accused of documenting sales prices on cars lower than the sold price.

Doug and Theresa Norman have both been charged with seven felonies. Theresa has been arrested, but Doug is still on the run.

A couple miles down the road at Car Country, Chris Schwab says that's not the way to keep people coming back.

"That's the name of the game," he said. "Its retaining customer base and retaining clients. There are several other dealerships down this row, and for the most part I think they all practice a pretty fair business."

This isn't the first time that Doug Norman has been in trouble with the law for his business practices. In March, he was arrested for turning back odometers at his used car lot.

According to the probable cause affidavit, employees were instructed to make only cash sales, making it easier to hide the extra money.

In one case, a customer paid $1,900 for a car, but the documented price was $600.

If you know where Doug Norman is, call police.
