HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) - The Butler County grand jury has indicted a robbery suspect who led police on a chase that eventually injured a Lockland officer.

Thomas Joyce, 32, was indicted on 15 counts, including robbery, failure to comply, aggravated vehicular assault, vehicular assault, operating a vehicle under the influence, and several drug charges.

Joyce robbed the West Chester Walgreen's on April 20, and then led police on a chase down Interstate 75.

During the chase, Lockland officer Brandon Gehring was attempting to lay stop sticks to slow Joyce down when he was hit by West Chester Officer Kevin Burger. Gehring was in critical condition, but has since been released from the hospital.

Joyce was later caught in Over the Rhine and taken into custody.
