CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - A Cincinnati man is being held on a $50,000 bond after police say he held his girlfriend captive over the weekend.

Gary Martin, 33, is charged with one count of abduction and one county of aggravated robbery.

According to court documents, Martin used a steak knife to hold his girlfriend against her will for two hours and slapped her several times in the face. He also made her write a suicide note to her mother.

The victim was able to escape after she told Martin she had to use the restroom. She then called for help.
