CINCINNATI (FOX19) - Police are investigating two fatality accidents that occurred Tuesday afternoon.

The first one happened just after noon on State Route 32, just west of Glen Este Withamsville Road in Union Township.  A truck and semi-trailer were involved.  The driver of the pick-up truck, Eugene Vest, 68, of Cincinnati, was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead. The driver of the semi, Eddie Penwell, 59, of Washington Courthouse, was taken to Anderson Mercy Hospital for a minor injury.

The second accident was just before 2 p.m. on Amelia Olive Branch Road just south of Old State Route 74 in Batavia Township.  Police say that Timmy Allan O'Neal, 20, of Bethel was driving a Chevy Impala northbound when he failed to make a left hand curve, drove off the right hand side of the road flipping the car into a large tree.

O'Neal died at the scene.

A passenger in the car, Jeremiah Hall, 24, of Felicity was taken by helicopter to University Hospital with serious injuries.  Both were wearing seatbelts and alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
