COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Three people are safe after another rescue on the Great Miami River.

It happened about 5 p.m. Tuesday evening, near the same place as Monday night's rescuee near the Blue Rock Bridge.

Firefighters say three teenagers were canoeing when they hit a tree, which caused the canoe to capsize.

Two 18-year-olds made it to a nearby sandbar. One 17-year-old clung onto a tree.

It took about 30 minutes for firefighters to get them out.

"It's extremely ironic because one of the individuals that was rescued stated that they navigated this water yesterday while the victim was in the water yesterday," said Colerain firefighter Darian Edwards.

None of the three teens were hurt during the rescue.
