CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - A Covington woman was arrested Thursday on charges of child endangering and disorderly conduct while she was at the Hamilton County courthouse.

Police say Ranisha Marshell Jones, 22, was in Judge Richard Bernat's courtroom when her 1-year-old daughter began to cry. Jones was ordered to leave the courtroom.

Police say Jones then became agitated and disorderly in the courtroom and then in the hallway as the bailiff issued a trouble call for sheriff's deputies.

When deputies responded, they escorted her to room 260 of the courthouse to issue her a disorderly conduct citation, and police say she continued to be disrupted.

At that point, the child began to cry, and police say Jones held the child by her armpits, shaking her back and forth as she screamed at the girl to shut up and blamed the child for her troubles.

Sheriff's Deputies and Sheriff's civilian personnel removed the child from the grip of Jones to prevent any physical harm.

Jones was escorted to the Hamilton County Justice Center for processing and pending arraignment on the charges.
